HWY 98 RV Park Rules

RULES & REGULATIONS – GENERAL HWY 98 RV Park GUIDELINES

We have established the following general park guidelines to help ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guest while in our park. Those who choose not to observe these guidelines will be asked to leave the park.

SPEED LIMIT: 10 mph Please observe our speed limit to ensure the safety of all our guests.  Children maybe playing outside!

QUIET TIME:  Sunday thru Thursday 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. and Friday & Saturday 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.  Playing loud music is not allowed in the park at any time of the day or night.

 RV SITE OCCUPANCY:  Rental rate covers 2 Adults & 2 Children, 6 people max per site, for additional persons you will be charged an additional fee.  Only one (1) RV and two (2) vehicles are allowed per RV site. All vehicles, including golfcarts, are to be parked on gravel pads. DO NOT park on the grass. 

CHILDREN:  Guests are responsible for all behavior of children. All children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older at all times.

VISITORS:  Your visitors are always welcome at HWY 98 RV Park, provided you register they with management. Visitors are expected to read and adhere to all park guidelines. Park guidelines are posted on our website at hwy98rvpark.com or a written copy can be requested. All your visitors must leave the park by 10 p.m.

TRASH:  All trash must be bagged, only household trash is allowed in dumpsters (no furniture or construction material etc.). Please place all garbage in the designated trash dumpster located in the park. DO NOT leave trash bags on your RV site overnight.  There is a $150.00 clean up fee for removal of any items left on site after checking out.

PETS:  All pets must be approved by management. ALL pets must be kept on a leash while outside of your camper…do not leave pets unattended outside. Pets must be walked by a responsible person to pick up after them immediately inside the park (please see management for definition of “inside the park”).

No excessive barking allowed. Maximum of 2 pets allowed per camper. Pets should be up to date on their vaccinations and management has the right to request proof. You are liable if your pet bites anyone. If these rules are not followed your pet will be asked to leave the park.

SMOKING:  We respect the fact that smoking is a personal choice. Please do not throw your cigarette butts on the ground. Should cigarette butts be found on the ground around your RV site warnings will be issued and littering fines maybe be imposed.

Violating park guidelines are grounds for ejection from the park without refund.

FIREARMS AND FIREWORKS:  Management requires to be notified of any guns with a state permits, all other firearms are prohibited on park property, including BB and Airsoft guns. Fireworks are not allowed to be set off inside the park.

PORTABLE GRILLS & CAMPFIRES:  Only gas grills are allowed in the park. Wood or charcoal grills are NOT allowed without management approval. Campfires only in designated area.

SAFETY AFTER DARK:  In order to ensure safety after dark, please carry a flashlight. No bike or scooter riding after dark.

RECREATIONAL VEHICLES:  Motor-driven cycles, bikes, scooters, or golf carts are not to be driven in the park without management approval.

 RV/CAR WASHING AND RV/Car MAINTENANCE:  You are NOT permitted to wash your Cars in the park. RV maybe wash with permission from management. No construction is allowed on RV without permission from management.  Please inform management if repairs are being performed on your RV. We understand emergencies a rise, if there is a need to tarp an RV or vehicle please speak to management before doing so. All repairs must be made in a timely manner.

FIXTURES AND CLOTHESLINES:  NO permanent fixtures or clotheslines can to be added to the RV site. Broken down vehicles are not allowed in the park. Shade Tents & Potted plants are allowed.

OTHER RV SITE GUIDELINES:

  • Ground disposal of any drain water (gray or black) is prohibited by State Law. Wastewater from RVs (including sink water) must be disposed of into sewer drains. Do not put grease down the sewer.
  • Sewer connections are required by state law and must have a tight seal by a sewer donut (or sewer ring) or a screw-type connector.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT:  Check-In 12p.m. (CST) | Check-Out 11a.m. (CST) Guest checking out after 11am maybe charged a late fee.

FORMS OF PAYMENTS:  We accept all Major Credit Cards, Venmo, Cash, Money Orders, Zelle & Check. There is a $35 charge for returned checks. 

DEPOSITS:

  • Nightly/Weekly guest one night’s rate is required when reservation is booked.
  • Holidays: The full reservation amount must be paid at booking.

SEASONAL CAMPERS: 1st time Monthly/Seasonal Campers must send a current picture of RV to management with reservation request for approval. 

MAIL SERVICE:  Available for guests. Please check with park management for more details

CANCELLATION POLICY:  Before making a reservation, please review our cancellation policy. 


We do not give credit or refunds due to the discomforts of nature or early departures. Our cancellation policy varies depending on the timing of your cancellation notice.

NIGHTLY/WEEKLY STAYS:

  • Reservation cancellations must be made at least 30 days before the arrival date for a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. 

  • Canceling a reservation less than 14 days before arrival for all cabins or less than seven days before arrival for all campsites will result in all deposits being forfeited. 

  • Canceling your stay after 30 days and before 14 days for all reservations or seven days for all campsite reservations, you will be issued a Camp Credit for 50% of your payment. The remaining 50% will be refunded. 


SEASONAL/MONTHLY STAYS:

ZERO CANCELLATION policy for anything less than an 11-month notice on Seasonal/Monthly reservations.  Due to limited inventory without an 11-month notice, these reservations are 100% non-refundable.

All refunds processed via credit/debit card will be processed back to the original credit/debit card used, with no exceptions. 


CHANGING YOUR DATES:   We are happy to assist you with reservation changes at any time. Changes made 30 days before arrival will not incur any charges. Changes made less than 30 days before arrival that reduce the number of days for your rescheduled dates will incur either 50% percent or 100% responsibility for those removed days as deemed in our standard cancellation policies.

NO SHOW POLICY:   Reservations will be held until check-out time on the day following your scheduled arrival. No shows will result in a canceled reservation and total forfeiture of funds.

HOLIDAY CANCELLATIONS:  We have a ZERO CANCELLATION POLICY for Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, Blue Angel week, Labor Day weekend, and Shrimpfest. These reservations are 100% NON-REFUNDABLE and must be paid for when booking if booked in the same calendar year. 


CANCELLATION DUE TO RV BREAKDOWN/ACCIDENT, HOSPITALIZATION, ILLNESS: 
  We understand that RV breakdowns or accidents occur at the worst possible times and are often very costly. If you have an accident or experience an RV breakdown in route to our park, we will consider a camp credit for your future stay. Should a guest become so ill that they cannot travel or require hospitalization before their scheduled arrival or during their stay, we will consider a camp credit for a future stay. We will need an official doctor’s note or proof of hospitalization to waive all cancellation fees, less a $25 credit card processing fee.

*Camp Credits will remain active on the User Account and expire one year from issuance. Camp Credits may NOT be redeemed for reservation dates that encompass a holiday period or special event. Camp Credits with no cash value may not be applied toward Park add-ons; unused balances will not be refunded and may only be redeemed once. Guests may not cancel a reservation made with a Camp Credit and receive another credit for a future date or receive the balance on the Camp Credit in cash or credit back to a credit card.

MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE, LIMIT THE LENGTH OF STAY AND THE NUMBER OF PERSONS OR VEHICLES PER SITE AND/OR EVICT ANY PERSON OR PARTY WITHOUT REFUND. 

CAMPING IS AN OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE; THEREFORE, WE DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS DUE TO MOTHER NATURE’S DECISIONS!
